Alien Maquette "Gorith" Version 2

3D maquette of a character i had to do for my concept class. Stands about 11" tall and is super sculpey painted with acrylic, removable folded aluminum plate armour and felt garments.

If you follow my blog at all you may recognize this character from a few y
ears ago. The "Gorith" as I've called them have been an alien race I've been on and off creating for the
last 15 years of my life. Recently being reinvented: this is the most advanced version to date.

"Hey Bats!"

I had to design a hard surface prop for my Concept class and because of my love for ancient masks and the fact my roommate bought the new Arkham City I was inspired to make create this Joker style Hannya mask.

"The Hannya mask is a mask used in Japanese Noh theater, representing a jealous female demon or serpent. It possesses two sharp bull-like horns, metallic eyes, and a leering mouth split from ear to ear."

The rough draft of a Faun I'm working on for my narrative sculpture class. Fauns were the servants of the Olympian god Pan. They were half human half goat manifestations of forest and animal spirits which would sometimes help or hinder humans.

Goodbye 2010

These may not be technically great photos, but most were experiments with long/double exposures, and others are just fun or interesting to me. Again click on the image for better quality.
